I started A J Orr Landscapes as a sole trader landscape contractor in 2002 after returning from travelling around Australia. I grew up in Blanefield and have established a yard at Dumgoyne near Killearn, north of Glasgow.

Prior to founding A J Orr Landscapes, I attended Oatridge Agricultural College in West Lothian. During my time there I gained necessary qualifications in Landscape Construction,  Greenkeeping & Sportsturf Management.

Since graduating from college I have continued to add to my qualifications and in addition to obtaining my CSCS card, I currently hold certificates for the following:



• PA1 and PA6 spraying;

• Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw Using Free-fall Techniques

• Chainsaw NPTC ILA Approved; 

• Hedge Trimmer operations;

• Chainsaw - Basic Felling Techniques

• Access a Tree Using a Rope and Harness & Rescue operations;

• Use of ride-on and pedestrian mowers;

• Chainsaw - Maintenance and Cross-cutting

• Aerial Tree Climbing & Rescue

The company has grown steadily over the last 23 years and now have a portfolio of loyal private clients in addition to a wide variety of commercial clients. Over the years we have successfully completed a broad range of projects and contracts including:
